Help Jersey Premier Brass Reach the National Finals – Sponsor a Chair
Jersey Premier Brass is proud to be representing our Island at the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain Finals in York this September, following an outstanding result at the London & Southern Counties Regional Championships earlier this year.
Competing against 17 bands in the Second Section, Jersey Premier Brass achieved an exceptional 3rd place finish, earned promotion to the First Section for 2027, and was awarded the trophy for Best Trombone Section. This success has secured our place amongst the very best brass bands in the country at the National Finals.
Now, we need your help to get there.
Introducing our “Sponsor a Chair” Scheme
As Jersey’s only contesting brass band, we are entirely self-funded. Every rehearsal, concert, competition and trip is made possible through member subscriptions, fundraising activities and the generosity of our supporters.
Travelling to York for the National Finals represents a significant financial commitment, with the trip expected to cost approximately £18,500. While the band is working hard to raise funds through concerts and events throughout the year, we are seeking additional support from local businesses and individuals who would like to help Jersey’s musicians compete on the national stage.
Our new Sponsor a Chair initiative offers the opportunity to sponsor one of the musicians representing Jersey at the National Finals.
How it works
You can sponsor one of our:
- 25 Brass Players
- 4 Percussionists
- Musical Director
The minimum sponsorship contribution is £250 per chair, although larger donations are warmly welcomed.
Why Sponsor a Chair?
By sponsoring a player, you will be directly supporting local musicians as they represent Jersey at one of the most prestigious events in the brass banding calendar.
Your support helps cover:
- Travel and accommodation costs
- Competition expenses
- Musical development opportunities
- The continued growth and sustainability of brass banding in Jersey
For businesses, sponsorship also provides valuable community visibility and demonstrates support for local arts and culture.
